I’m usually not a big fan of Sundae (Korean blood sausage), but their Sundae-guk (blood sausage soup) had absolutely no funky odor and was incredibly delicious! They also serve Pyeonbaek-jjim (Hinoki cypress steamed) Sundae, which is something I don't think I've even seen back in Korea. It’s the owner’s own original recipe, loaded with vegetables, and the flavor is so clean and savory. I especially loved the special wooden steamer—the steam keeps rising from the bottom, keeping the Sundae perfectly warm the entire meal. We also ordered Naengmyeon (cold noodles) on a whim, and the broth was fantastic with wonderfully chewy noodles. I have a strong feeling this place is going to have long wait times very soon! Baek Am Korean Restaurant (백암순대) is an absolute hidden gem! If you’re craving authentic Korean comfort food, this place delivers in every way. The 순대 (soondae) is incredibly flavorful and perfectly prepared—rich, savory, and super satisfying. The soups are the real highlight though—deep, hearty, and packed with that authentic homemade taste that warms you up instantly. You can tell they don’t cut corners with ingredients or preparation. The staff are friendly and efficient, and the overall vibe feels casual and welcoming—just like a true local spot in Korea. Definitely one of the best places around for legit Korean food. I’ll 100% be coming back!

The galbi California short rib is delicious. The marinade is perfect and the meat is tender. That is my favorite. I'll be back to try more dishes. Banchan is delicious. Service is great I went for the smoked duck and it was delicious too, but the galbi is even better lol

Hidden gem in Gardena. Baek Am Korean Restaurant is a cozy, food is so authentic with high-quality, fresh ingredients. Highly recommend! Banchan was fresh and well-balanced—not overly strong, just done right. You can tell the ingredients are high quality, especially the meats—very clean flavors, no gamey taste at all. Highlights for us were the seafood pancake (crispy outside, soft inside with plenty of seafood), the handmade sundae (blood sausage) which was surprisingly delicious even for someone who usually doesn’t eat it, and the soft tofu stew—comforting, flavorful, and perfect on a cold day. The grilled ribs were juicy and perfectly cooked, and the spicy pork was fragrant and great with rice. Overall, authentic Korean food, thoughtful execution, and warm service. A place you’ll want to come back to！

Love seeing more new Korean restaurants popping up in Gardena! Baek am is a nice addition, though it’s a bit off the main strip compared to the other well known spots on Western Ave, and it’s located in a not so good part of Gardena. The staff here are incredibly friendly, and the service is top notch. They made great menu suggestions and checked in with us several times during the meal to make sure everything was okay. The food was very flavorful, and I have to say they serve one of the best Korean seafood pancakes I’ve had in the area. Prices are on the higher side, but the portion sizes are generous and worth it for the quality you get. -1 star because of two things: 1.The selection of Korean side dishes (banchan) is limited and just average in taste. 2.They charge $1 for each to-go box, even if it’s just for leftovers from your dine-in meal. I was caught off guard by this, and while they did point out the policy is written in small print at the bottom of the menu, I thought it only applied to takeout orders. Quick tips: Baek Am is located right next to Superior Grocers and has its own parking lot. They do have lunch combo special from 11am to 2pm Mon to Friday. Bring your ow
